Every mum has a story to tell, and we believe there's so much power in sharing them.
Welcome to Motherhood, Unfiltered—a space where we chat with incredible women about the highs, the challenges and the little moments that make motherhood so special. We hope these conversations remind you that wherever you are in your journey, you're not doing it alone.
Today we're chatting with Jess Muller from North Queensland, Australia. From motherhood to personal style and everything in between, here's a little glimpse into her world.
Tell us a little about yourself! (Who's in your family and where are you based?)
I’m Jess, 34 year old mum of 3 beautiful boys. I’m currently on maternity leave after having my third baby but prior to that I was working as an accountant at a little local firm. We live in the heart of tropical North Queensland and I absolutely love it!

What's one thing that's bringing you joy at the moment? (Big or small!)
One of my favourite tiny things to do to spark joy, even on the toughest of days, is Sprinkle coffee. I know it sounds ridiculous but adding sprinkles (100’s & 1000’s are the best) to the top of your coffee is an instant dopamine hit and I swear it makes it taste better!
How would you describe your style in three words?
I would describe my style as colourful, comfortable and practical. If I can’t chase after the boys in it it’s a no from me at the moment.

Jess recommends colourful and practical clothes for chasing after her three boys. Shop more clothing options for motherhood here.
What's one thing you've learnt about getting dressed since becoming a mum?
I’ve honestly found this third postpartum period dressing the hardest. My body has changed a lot and I’ve had to learn to love it all over again. But one thing I’ve learnt is wear the clothes that make you happy. For me that comes in the form of colourful clothes so that’s what I try to stick to.

Jess is wearing the maternity and breastfeeding-friendly Harper Dress by Saturday Vibes.
At Saturday Vibes, we're all about helping mums feel like themselves. What helps you feel most like you in this season of motherhood?
It’s so easy to lose yourself in motherhood, but one thing that makes me feel like myself is getting to do a little bit of craft each day. It may happen at 10am during nap time or I may stay up a little (or a lot) late after everyone’s in bed, but I do try to prioritise that. It’s one of the things that I do for just me and it helps to quiet the chaos of the day.
What's one piece of advice you'd give to a new mum?
My one piece of advice I’d give to a new mum is ‘no one knows your baby/kids like you do. Trust your gut, you know best.’
Thanks so much to Jess for sharing a little of her motherhood journey with us.
